John Burke is the founder of American Legal Investigative Services. Prior to taking over the firm in 1999, he served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 32 years. During his career he served as the Supervisory Special Agent of the Bank Robbery Squads in both Newark and Boston and also served as the liaison to the National Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. Mr. Burke has handled countless investigations of organized crime activities, as well as, white collar crime and was a member of the Financial Crimes Task Force that investigated failed banking institutions throughout New England.
Upon retiring from the FBI Mr. Burke worked in the Corporate Security Department of State Street Banking Corporation.
Mr. Burke has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin Pierce University and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Fitchburg State University.
He is a Trustee of Franklin Pierce University, an active member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and a member of the Licensed Private Detective Association of Massachusetts (L.P.D.A.M).
